The Local Government Unit of Burgos, Ilocos Sur headed by Mayor Annabelle Filart Escobar, conducted the distribution of fuel subsidies to all registered tricycle drivers of Burgos, Ilocos Sur.

The assistance program was made possible through the initiative of the Committee Chair on Transportation, Sangguniang Bayan Member Gerome Arthur C. Balbalan, as part of the municipality’s continuing efforts to provide meaningful support to the local transport sector amid the rising costs of fuel and daily operations caused by the previous sudden massive price hike on diesel and gasoline.

During the distribution, each registered tricycle driver received a ₱2,000 fuel subsidy, funded by the Local Government Unit of Burgos. The financial assistance aims to help ease the burden of fuel expenses while enabling tricycle drivers to continue providing reliable and affordable transportation services to the residents of the municipality.

Mayor Escobar and the Municipal Officials recognizes the invaluable role of tricycle drivers in ensuring the mobility of the community and remains committed to implementing programs that promote their welfare and livelihood. This initiative reflects the LGU’s dedication to supporting every sector of the municipality through responsive and people-centered public service.
