The Local Government Unit of Burgos, Ilocos Sur headed by Mayor Annabelle Filart Escobar conducted the distribution of Educational Assistance to eighty (80) student beneficiaries for the Second Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026. Each beneficiary received financial assistance amounting to Three Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (₱3,500.00) to help support their educational needs and academic pursuits.

The program commenced with an opening message delivered by SB Member Isabelo F. Degracia, Chairperson of the Committee on Education, who emphasized the importance of education as a vital investment in the future of the municipality and encouraged the beneficiaries to persevere in their studies.

This was followed by a message from Riolita R. Balbalan, who reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to supporting students through various educational programs and initiatives aimed at helping them achieve their aspirations.

An inspirational message was then delivered by Annabelle F. Escobar, who expressed her unwavering support for the youth and highlighted the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance in achieving academic success. She also encouraged the beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity provided to them and to continue striving for excellence in their chosen fields.

Adding inspiration to the event were the heartfelt Words of Gratitude delivered by Mae Ann Alisdan, a Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Science in Criminology, and Alphiea Dasalla, a Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management. Both speakers expressed their sincere appreciation to the Local Government Unit for its continued support to students and shared how educational assistance programs help alleviate financial burdens and motivate learners to pursue their dreams.

The activity concluded with the Closing Remarks delivered by Mrs. Irene D. Galimba, Administrative Officer V, who thanked all participants and parents for their support in ensuring the successful implementation of the educational assistance program.
