The Local Government Unit of Burgos, Ilocos Sur headed by Mayor Annabelle Filart Escobar conducted its traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, bringing together municipal officials, employees, and partner agencies in reaffirming their commitment to public service and community development.

The ceremony was attended by Mayor Annabelle F. Escobar, Vice Mayor Riolita R. Balbalan, the Sangguniang Bayan Members, Municipal Employees, and representatives from the Burgos Municipal Police Station, Burgos Fire Station, Department of Trade and Industry, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, and the Department of Health.

Following the flag raising ceremony, Mayor Annabelle F. Escobar shared updates on the recently completed distribution of water pumps to all registered tobacco farmers of Burgos, Ilocos Sur. The program, aimed at supporting local farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity, has successfully reached its intended beneficiaries across the municipality.
The Municipal Mayor also announced upcoming programs and activities of the LGU, including the second tranche distribution of fuel subsidy to all registered farmers of the Municipality and the forthcoming Inauguration of the Bahay Silangan / Multipurpose Building. The official schedules for both activities will be announced at a later date.


Meanwhile, the Municipal Health Office informed the public about the ongoing Cough Caravan, a free health service available to all residents of Burgos who require medical consultation and assistance. The office also announced the upcoming Bloodletting Activity on July 24, encouraging residents who are willing and qualified to donate blood and help save lives through this humanitarian activity.

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office likewise extended an invitation to the community to participate in the scheduled Tree Planting Activity on July 4 (Saturday). The activity aims to promote environmental conservation, community involvement, and awareness on the importance of protecting and preserving nature.
