The Local Government Unit of Burgos, Ilocos Sur headed by Mayor Annabelle Filart Escobar together with Vice Mayor Riolita R. balbalan and the Sangguniang Bayan Members through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office conducted the distribution of Cash Gift Incentives to senior citizens who reached the ages of 70 and 75 for the months of April to June. This initiative is in accordance with Municipal Ordinance No. 15, Series of 2026, entitled “An Ordinance Granting Cash Gift Incentives to All Senior Citizens Who Attained the Age of 70 and 75 Years Old in the Municipality of Burgos, Ilocos Sur,” authored by Sangguniang Bayan Member Ben Marius Gabriel F. Escobar, Committee Chair on Social Services.

A total of 20 qualified beneficiaries received cash incentives amounting to Two Thousand Pesos (₱2,000.00) each. The program aims to recognize and honor the valuable contributions of senior citizens in the community, while also providing them with financial assistance as they reach significant milestones in their lives.

Meanwhile, the application for senior citizens who will be turning 70 and 75 years old for the months of July to September is currently ongoing. Qualified individuals are encouraged to coordinate the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for proper documentation and processing of their applications.
