The Local Emergency Response Team (LERT) led by Mr. Dan Alfred E. Romero, LDRRMO II under the supervision of MDRRM Chair and Mayor Nathaniel D. Escobar together with the BFP personnel led by MFM SFO4 Antonio T Rigunay, personnel of the DENR and the members of the Citizen Involvement Services (CIS) also known as “Bantay Barangay joins the said event as part of the celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month of the year 2024.

The said event is to promote resiliency within the province of Ilocos Sur in order to be prepared as much as possible for any upcoming disaster such as thunderstorms or typhoons. the Pruning activity encourages tree growth and structure and helps to mitigate the risk of falling branches which can damage electric wires or houses or even cause roadblocks.

MDRRM Chair and Mayor Boy together with Sir Dan Alfred prioritizes the safety of each and every citizen of Burgos and encourages the Barangay in Burgos, Ilocos Sur to continue and make it a habit to conduct their own pruning activity for and promote resiliency.
