BLS and First Aid is an important tool in quickly responding to accidents to ensure that injuries can be efficiently and promptly dealt with before a trained professional arrives. It is important to have someone nearby always ready and prepared in case of an emergency to provide first aid as they serve an essential role in keeping a casualty from getting worse as they help to stabilize the person in need.

In relation to this, The MDRRMC headed by MDRRM Chairman and Mayor Nathaniel D. Escobar thru the Local Emergency Response Team (LERT) led by Mr. Dan Alfred E. Romero conduced a Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training to the Brgy Officials including Tanod, BHW, BNS and youth of Barangay Balugang headed by PB. Warlito Directo together with the personnel of the PNP and BFP.

The LERT provided knowledge on Bandaging, Splinting, Carrying, CPR and many more as the target audience performed a return demonstration to ensure that the audience successfully execute what they have learned making them prepared for whenever they may be needed wherever they are especially for their respective barangay.
